FRANKY G
Kicking off his dj days at Melbourne?s infamous dance music station ?KIX FM? it wasn?t long before public demand had Franky out of the studio and into the clubs, starting at Melbourne?s biggest underage event, Lush @ club QBH. Franky?s ongoing 3yr residence at QBH saw him warming up for some of the worlds biggest dance acts, namely ? Yakooza, J-Wess, Delta & Public domain. Constantly working crowds into a frenzy with his brilliant sets of vocal through to deep funky house, quickly had Franky being invited to play at Australia?s largest urban festival. URBAN VIBES; where Franky spun to a 6000 person strong crowd along side US rappers Fat Man Scoop & K smooth.

At the tender age of 20, Franky is still considered a ?Young Gun? by industry standards, but unlike most young guns, Franky is out of the bedroom and spinning at some of Melbourne?s hottest clubs which include area61 and Saratoga.

Last year Franky started his own company ?Tea Party Promotions? and launched his own house nights. 4play Fridays grew into a well established home of house and saw Franky and some of the finest talent in Australia (Andrew Padula, Alex K, Chris Buchannen) rocking it to capacity crowds.

TOM TOMICH

His passion for Vocal House and soulful electro beats spread contagiously throughout social circles in this area leading him to form Superflydjs with his best friend whom he still shares a number of residencies with at Altitude,Metropol Bar and now his new Saturday night home Area61.

Tom?s musical talent and impressive upbeat mixes draw unprecedented crowds to these venues, elevating him to cult status amongst the locals and a cultivating a strong following of loyal fans.

Tom?s distinctive and energetic style has seen him cross international waters moving crowds in Croatia, Malaysia and Bali as well as a number of bars and clubs around Melbourne.

Tom?s DJ sets reflect the big room funky beats through to soulful, vocal house sounds heard famously across town.

ANDREW PADULAWhen championed by the likes of Tiesto and Pete Tong as being ?one of the most exciting up-and-coming DJs in the world?, you can understand why there is so much anticipation surrounding Andrew Padula. Since first cutting his teeth as a DJ at the tender age of 15, he has worked tirelessly to establish himself as one of the most well respected DJs in Australia. Incredibly, still in his mid-20s, his numerous achievements are nothing less than impressive.

Hailing from Old Melbourne Town, Andrew has enjoyed a rapid rise within the Dance Music Industry, impressing crowds with his impeccable taste in music, programming and technical ability as well as his trademark energetic style and ora behind the decks. He describes his music as ?an extremely funky melting pot of inspired dance and electronic music?. As he has matured over the years, Andrew has cultivated a fluid music identity where he spins anything from house, to breaks, to tech, to progressive, to electro. ?I like so many styles, I try and somehow get it all to fit together, work the elements I guess?.

2004 has proven to be an incredibly prosperous year for the Melbourne native. Recently Andrew won the internationally renowned Heineken Music Found@Thirst DJ competition in Australia. Chosen by the panel of esteemed DJs including Tiesto, Pete Tong and Daniel Davoli, he won the opportunity to travel and play alongside these guys at the impressive Thirst parties in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane! In October this year, Padula will continue his quest with Heineken when he travels to Singapore?s Zouk Nightclub to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific finals (www.heinekenmusic.com).

He has also joined an array of International Superstar DJs such as the likes of Roger Sanchez, James Zabiela, Mark Farina and Australia?s doyen Phil K when Pioneer International signed Andrew to represent their products both here and abroad.

As you would expect, Padula has played alongside many international DJs. Including the abovementioned, most recently he has also supported the likes of Nick Warren, Lucien Foort, Junkie XL, Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, Anthony Pappa, Chris Fortier, Felix Da Housecat, Steve Murano, Arman Van Helden, Tiefschwarz, Junior Sanchez, Planet Funk, Kid Cr?me and Junior Jack to name just a few. Not bad for a years work!

With his reputation as a DJ well and truly secured, Andrew has been able to turn his attention towards fulfilling his production aspirations. Whilst currently working on his first independent studio album, Padula has also collaborated with friend and studio partner, Kris Beyrouthy (aka KayBee). ?We get together and put things down. Together, we?re an exceptionally creative force?. Under the guise of ?La Cobra?, they have recently lent their remixing talents to German producer Jan Driver. In its first week of release, their Neonz Mix of Jans? smash hit ?Ladies Want It? went to #3 on the ARIA Club Chart around Australia and is currently at #2 on Vinyl Pusher Records.

CUTLOOSE

This young DJ started playing on turntables 4years ago and already he has shown himself to be one of the new premier hip hop and scratch turntablists in Brisbane.

Growing up around radio with his father also being a Dj, Cutloose was surrounded by all types of music. So it seemed natural for him to gain not only knowledge but also such a large taste for music. With a big bro introducing him to, 80?s music and Grandmaster Flash, Public Enemy and early De La Soul songs.

He was bitten by the bug and wanted to find out how it was all done.
That inquisitive thinking has led to the creation of Cutloose. Profile from Vinyl Slingers website

As a dj, I play a diverse arrangment of styles in a turntablist mannor. My accent is HIP HOP but I speak many music languages. From Heavy Metal to Funk, from Breaks to 80's.It was my saturation of all these styles as a child to now that has givin me the love of all genres. So I hope you enjoy what I do.
